The Mountain Sky is Written

Above the city I sit, small light glaring on the empty page, the city lights twinkling like the stars above my head, complete silence, complete gratitude, completely surrounded by the astoundingly large world around me, I am small.
My words, such little descriptions of captured feelings, I am the transparency between the veil of the mountain reaching the inviting heaven upon this peak, like a conductor from the sky my pen hits the page imprinting the silhouettes of letters like birds flying into the moonlight.
Crafting words to describe the sensation of battling to the top of a mountain in the midnight darkness, my legs measure the journey, my skin weathers the terrain, and my heart joyously pounds in victory while my breath slowly evades my body into the crisp thin air. To this I am labored, to this I am free.
Sleep well valley below, these mountainous walls will protect you and as I sit above viewing the millions below I am one, but the journey down slowly erodes the precious moment experienced as I become integrated back into the millions, away from the untouched, away from the away, hoping this captured thought on paper can somehow take me back when I'm in need.
